Regarding Johns journal for August 15th YES I AM READY for fall/chilly days/falling leaves and then onto winter. I HATE THIS HEAT AND HUMIDITY!!! There is no letup, it is day after day after day. Wish we had some of the rain other states are getting. Everything is dry and leaves are starting to fall due to the lack of water.

But just think...if it gets cold and snow starts to fly.....

You won't be able to run your lawn mower anymore!
You won't have deer flies to contend with....

You won't be able to lay out and tan yourself anymore....

You won't be running around dripping sweat just looking at all the things you need to get done BEFORE...THE SNOW FLIES.

You won't be able to drink beer and say...man it so hot!

You won't need to blow the bird dirt off your truck hood anymore....

You won't be so cranky when the kids come home and say...let's run to the store and buy this or that for school.....

All you will have is that nice soft white stuff floating down and listening to displaced southerners AND LOCAL WEATHER PEOPLE CLAIMING AND complain about HOW DARN COLD IT IS.

Are you shurrrrrrrrr your ready for that?????????????????????????????

You know how much you love to mow that grass......

Can't wait! Feels like I live on the Gulf coast this year. Take the humidity back down there we don't want it.

on a recent trip to Colorado I realized what is meant by "its not the heat,....it's the humidity"

Working outside in mid-90's dry heat was nothing compared to 80 with a 70+ dew point!

I think a few of us have that kind of sickness.

It has been a strange summer around our area. It started so dang early. This last round of the heat and humidity has been unreal. Who else has the greenest lawn they can remember in August?

BTW Mr Administrator, We hear you and I think their was a chorus of "I Am Ready" throughout the heatland. Yes, heatland.

I too am ready, 96 degree days wear me out...at least the ocean has been nice. Been out boating almost every weekend this summer.

I have been counting down for my yearly snowmobile trip since day 293.....down to 171 more days!!!!!!!! I can't wait to be in the snow again, enough with this darn heat.
