I hate system snow! :)

Ok, maybe hate is way too strong of a word, as I do actually love all snow, but man oh man. Just got back in from clearing the snow we got overnight and it took over 2 hours (typically a 30-45 minute job) to do just the driveway and parking area in front of the cabin. About 6-7" of really dense system snow.

I still have to clear the path to the wood boiler and ash dumping spot, dig out the path to be able to clear the snow station. So probably another 30 minutes later this afternoon and then I can say I am all done.

When I finished just a few moments ago, the areas that I cleared first already had 2" new on them.

Really nice way to try and lay low to get feeling better!

Mommy, I need my blankie!!!

Sorry John, I know you are not feeling well, but I don't think you are getting any sympathy from those of us that got rain while you got all that snow. If you are sick of moving snow, just send it a couple hundred miles south.

Get well soon!

It was a pure "joking" post, sort of wanted to poke fun at all the other negative posts this season. Sorry for any confusion or hard feelings I gave. I do love all snow, even system snow! :)

It sure was some thick stuff though. Even the plows have made 5-6 passes on my road this morning and usually they just need to make one in one direction and one in the other.

Sticking well to the trees, so it's also a beautiful winter wonderland. And I do feel for those that got rain, especially since things were in such good shape before the rains arrived.

I know, John. Just funnin' right back at ya.

Even the Get well soon part?

AAAAAh.... Gotcha!

Seriously though. I was pretty worn out and in a bit of a daze when I came in and typed that post. I re-read it and saw that I probably did not make my "funning" part clear enough and just did not want anyone to think that I was actually complaining about snow. I challenge Ma Nature to bring me to that point!

Quite frankly, "this" stuff does suck, & I would gladly send it somewhere else right now. It's wet & heavy, laiden with rain that was mixed in. Not fun to move around. On the bright side, it's snow not rain, though I would still be happy to send this kind of snow somewhere else if I could.-Mezz

Oh, but what a base this will make. No more stumps? Think of all that snow removal as taking one for the team (us out-of state types, that is).</SPAN>

Got about 4” of new, heavy stuff around home. Lots of kids (on old Indys) and families on the local trails yesterday. All things considered, this winter has been way better than last year for local riding. Not great, but good enough to get out and enjoy it.

Got to agree John this stuff is heavy. Plow guy with 6 wheel dump truck with load of sand in dump whacked my big pile of snow at end of my driveway & the truck just stopped dead must of felt good on driver's internal organs.lol I thought clean up today let groomers groom & when this snow sets up tonight riding tomorrow should fabulous! Snow too heavy to throw around with shovel so shoveled into my ice fishing sled hauled to open areas & dumped. My woodpile & doorways all open now thinking I should rake pontoon cover later but snowing again now. Oh well.....

I wish that snow last night covered up the stumps! Found a couple today, but made climbing alot more easy. Snowing the pretty big flakes right now. Should be fabo for tomorrows riding.

Hope you feel better John. Any suggestions on getting the 1/4" of ice off the cars windshield, aside from letting the car run for 1/2 hour? :(

I had to drive to green bay on sunday and back today. Basically it was a hard downpour from crivitz to Green Bay, crazy the the roads started to get slick. it rained all night, then when we left for home the roads got sort of nasty for the last hour.

I can't believe how hard it rained, weird.

John,

It is funny to see you mention this hypothetical snow. ;)

I do have to admit that we did see some of it fall here in wet heavy doses. Nice coating of ice under the snow from the rain made it a real blast. :(

I would rather ride in snow vs. shoveling mashed potatoes on ice. Bring on the Lake Guns!
