I think that I may as well fog the sleds

The forecasts for the northwoods are not looking good at all.

I had one more trip planned for Munising on March 8th and I think I may as well cancel.

Perhaps they'll get a big snow in April when the trails are closed!

It's getting time to obsess about fishing instead of snowmobiling. That will be a blast!

The ice is starting to leave the Western basin of Lake Erie so it will be time for the Spring jig! Then off to Lake Chatauqua in New York for perch and crappie. Then the local river here for 15" crappies. Then it will be summer time in the Hiawatha for trout and crappies and whatever else. Then fall time cool weather fishing for crappies. Then comes the ice and time to start over with snowmobiling!

It's a wonderful life of obsessions, I mean hobbies!

Next Year.

Just be gratefull we got some snow riding in this year. It could be worse. We could have a winter with 25-30 inches of snowfall totals. I'll be back in the UPMich. next year and be laughing at the misrable winter we had in 2010-11. I agree...let's get the boats ready for the perch and croppies. Walleye's too.

I'm thinking the same thing. Planning on going up next week. I have one on my sleds in a friends garage in Bergland and would like to at least drive it down to Wakefield where my storage unit is.

Probably get some skiing in maybe a little snowshoeing. I saw the trails over Presidents weekend. We skiied. Next week will probably be my last trip. Too bad.

Yup, I hear the fat lady singin' too. I gotta wait a bit yet though, too much summer stuff sittin' where the sled has to go. I don't wanna get that stuff out yet. I'll probably treat the fuel and fill 'er up this wknd., then fog it when I have her in her summer bed. It was an alright season, never trailered anywhere and still got nearly 1000 miles. I'm good with it

I always know the trails are bad when I see people in snowmobiling apparel on the ski hill. Both sports are a whole lot of fun.

Best time riding we ever had as a family was outta Mass City over spring break. I think it's too much to hope for that this year. Maybe another round of skiiing???
