Wow thats not good.
I was driving M35 to Escanaba today and seen ice pushing in a few spots along Lake Michigan, but not like that!

Here are a few more.... I don't recall this ever happening before, at least not in my lifetime. This is the result of the consistent sustained winds from the E which lasted a little over 2 day's, amazing.-Mezz

I went out yesterday and the ice shove was confined to a pretty small area. Basically from the irons at the Traverse River down to the small creek that dumps out just north of the township park. All the rest of Big Traverse was OK and I have not hear anything about Little Traverse and Rabbit Bay or Jake, so would figure they were OK as well.

I just took these pics today at 6:30 pm. The area affected is a couple hundred yards or so.

A couple docks destroyed at rabbit bay, i have a friend with a cottage there and the dock is smashed. I'll get a pic

Growing up I remember this happening on the Saginaw Bay every now and then. Sometimes just ice on the beach other times I can remember houses being pushed off their foundations.

My buddy from Little Rock just texted me and said he saw one of the pics on NBC Nightly News. It must have been the pic that was on the news up here. Neat but a bugger to deal with at the same time.
