Anyone running this track? I am 50/50 on this or just the regular 1.25 ripsaw. Looking for any input. Thanks

If I was replacing my track on my Attack it would be an ice ripper. It is a pre studded 1.25 ripsaw so I figure if you like ripsaw (which I do) but you don't like studs (I don't) so only run 108 down center then ice ripper might be the best of all worlds. I wish I could order a new sled with an ice ripper as a standard option. I never ride without studs but think prestuded is the way to go to avoid throwing studs as track gets older & worn.

Put one on my 01 800 doo year before last. I love it. 240 studs but feels like 108. Great hook up and no noise. my track looks like new and probably has 2000 on it now. I have read on some other sites that guys are having them come apart on high, high horsepower machines but after my experiance with it I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I would be pissed to spend over 500 bucks and have the track rip apart. I wonder if it was 2ply if it would hold up better. A little more weight but would be stronger. Thanks for the info.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. I think that is why there is a stud picture on the track with a slash thru it. "so stud picture". I don't want to scare anyone. I haven't heard that many reports of them comin' apart, just a few. google it and you will see what they are saying. Also you will notice these were on a lot of turboed and boosted sleds. Like I said, it ain't gunna stop me from getting another one unless this one was to blow apart. As far as price there is a place called snow city. It is out there at the Bronson snowmobile auction and I bought mine there for less then $500 o.t.d. I could not have bought a rip saw and studded it for that. I also have heard different story's on the design. Some say it is a rip saw some say it is based on a rip saw design. I don't know, all I know is it hooks up way good for me. In the corners, no push. Out of the corners, rockets out. On the road, no wash....

Ice Ripper

I have been running a 136" Ice Ripper track on my MXZ 600 going on my third season now. I love the track. Good both on and off the trail. In my opinion it's a great track if you like to trail ride but also do some boondocking/off trail riding. The ice traction isn't quite a good as a normally studded track but much better on ice than no studs. I got mine from Tracks USA.

Tunnel Protectors

My original 121" track was studded and the sled had tunnel protectors. I left those in and it works well with the 136" Ice Ripper and the long track extension kit.
