Inexpensive Riding Protection

This is the same brand I wear on my dirt & race bikes, it has been a great product, fits nice and works great. Was thinking of getting a tekvest but decided to just start wearing this on my sled instead.

The vests look very good and the prices looks great too. Anyone use the Revo 5 or is the Revo 4 adequate for snowmobiling?

Either will do the job & not a big price jump. I wish I knew about these tek vests before I purchased my sisixone core protector much better bang for the buck & luv the one size fits all. Takes the risk out what size will fit me? Also like no binding in arm pits as I had this problem with traditional tekvest brand riding up & chafing my pits. Hopefully many JDers will buy these & save some lives!

Thats the one I was looking at also. I'm glad you brought this back up, I forgot all about it. I'll have to save that web site, thanks. Also thanks to whitedust for first posting it.

LOL. I've wanted to get us vests for years. Wife always says they are too much $ and she wouldn't use it, we can't crush "the girls" you know. She also says I ride too slow to need one.:( But these seem to be a very good price. As for the dogs, what our spoiled doggies want, our spoiled doggies get! ;)

Tell the wifey my most ungraceful offs were in corn fields at 25mph hitting those corn field frozen mud clumps or a dip I didn't see in low contrast. Ouch! Vest is the way to go also keeps the girls toasty & no bouncing around. With 4 daughters I hear stuff no man should hear.lol :D

Cool, let me know what you think.

Purchased the EVS Revo 5 from ride extreme in New Berlin, WI. I think it was like $85 after taxes. I really like it. Didn't even really notice I was wearing it. I can't compare it to a Tekvest as I have never owned one. Seems like a pretty good bang for your buck.

Any protection is better than no protection. As far as how they feel when you have them on...it's like anything new. Have you ever seen someone's face when you put a helmet on them for the first time? They get that freaked out look on their face. After a while you feel like you are missing something when you don't have it on. Another example is if you are used to wearing a watch or wedding ring and don't have them on you are always looking for them on your hand since you are used to them being there. I feel the same way about my tekvest. Everyone i ride with has one. I even have a couple extra in case I have a guest who has never ridden with one can try it.

I ride with these and don't have any of the problems whitedust was talking about. I take off the extra neck piece which is just for warmth. When I have it on I feel all confined in the neck area.

Well I ride faster than you.lol ;) I'm much more active in the saddle + I don't have EPS so have to work harder & much older thus the chaffing of the tekvest. Anything is better than nothing.:D
