Installing tach in 88 chevy truck.

Hi i am trying to install a auto gage tach in a 88 chevy truck witha tbi 350. it says the green wire is supposed to go to the distributor or coil and i dont see where it would go. Was wondering if anyone has done this before. there is one plug in on the coil that is not hooked up and i think that that is the hook up but want another opinion just in case. thanks for the help k smith.

The tach lead is probably empty right now. You will need a female spade to slide on the terminal.
Look on the distributor where the wire would plug in from the bottom edge of the square part. You push the lead up from the bottom and towards the sky. If you had the factory plug, it would have a locking clip on the side to hold it into place
