I have rode in the Iowa City area. I have not seen any trails it is just ditch banging. If you want to ride trails you need to get north of Cedar Rapids or go to a state park as quite a few of them have a decent trail system. But no grooming until you get into northern Iowa.

Oh okay! I go to school at Iowa and thought it would be cool to have one of our sleds here at school with me... Something to consider!

Better ROI spending money on coeds than wasting time & money with sleds in IC.LOL Time & place for each endeavor leave the sleddin for a better time & place.:)

I would suggest finding a club in the area.

I can't speak for the clubs around there but i know that my club has discussed the ISSA helping college age sledders with a place to keep a sled in the winter close to the school.

Oh and one last thing, If you would transfer to Ames I know of lots of good trails around. GO STATE GO 44-41 (we got to get our jabs in when we can ya know).

There is a trail that goes through North Liberty to Solon to Ely and surrounding areas. There is also a swap meet in North Liberty sponsored by the local snowmobile club this Sunday. You should be able to get all the info for the trail system for the area arround iowa City.

If you get the chance to ride N.E. Iowa, assuming they have good snow again this year, do it! The Mississippi River Valley riding is really incredible and you'll never believe you're in Iowa. Starting in Cresco and riding toward Lansing, in ANY direction, is spectacular and a VERY well kept secret. Enjoy! I too say...Go Clones!
