Iron County has opened the trails as of today. It's been a lot of work getting the rollers and drags through as we've had many wet areas. Also the wet snow has required the clubs to do a lot of brushing the hanging limbs. I put 100 miles on today and as our "Trail Boss" said at last nights meeting; "The Trails that are open are in the best condition that he has seen for an opening weekend in over 10 years"...I agree.
A few trails are closed and watch out for some wet spots. Also bring along a pair of "nippers" on your sled and help out with clearing the hangers on the trail. Also If you see some large stones/rocks, lease stop and toss them off the trail.
Anyone wanting some good riding this early head to Hurley!
