I would like to know if anyone has ridden trails 2 east of Iron River to Florence and Trail 15 from Trail 2 to trail 8? Any input would be appreciated.

I was on the grade from IR to Watersmeet yesterday. The further you were to the east, the more stones were exposed on the trail to the point we slowed down. You can ride the trail, but not the best. Glad we jumped off at Iron River.

Did not. Took 107 north. Was good, but not great. 7/10 rating. We were 1st tracks on grade towards watersmeet on Sunday morning. That was great until you hit the watersmeet section of the trail. I think that is where 3 connects. That area was rough, but enough snow - no stones.

Thank you for your info. Do you know or have you heard how 2 is EAST of Iron River on towards Florence? i was up a couple of weeks ago and from IR west to Watersmeet was better than east of IR. Doesn't sound like trails have gotten any better so I'm assuming the section I'm asking about isn't any better.

Totally agree exactly how I saw grades mid week 107 was prolly better but grades as you reported. I rode up 15n to 111 junction alone after les dump and didn't like it very thin and snow was getting blown off trail by just a little traffic. dfattack and I miss 15 n & both of us have scouted out at different times want to get on it but only when goodish. Anybody been on 15n end of last week or weekend have a condition report?

I rode 15 from 2 to 8 on Saturday morning, and it was almost perfect. Excellent ride. It was so good, we almost turned around and rode it back. Went west to 107 instead and that was a mistake.

How were bridges on 15 grade on south end? How was 15n to111 junction thru the logged skinney tree sections? What is the reroute like at north end of 15n before 8? What was wrong with 107? Thanks inadvance....

Yes, leaving Iron River, MI heading west on trail 2 you catch trail 15 north up to trail 8 between Sidnaw and Kenton.

Speaking of Iron River, is there a place to park the truck and trailer in IR and ride from there? Thanks.

Yes there is. It is right next to the Americinn (at least that is what I think the hotel is called. There is a lot that can hold 6-8 truck/trailers. Between the hotel and gas station, literally, right off the trail.

The only problem with the bridges is they were not completely snow covered in the middle, but were still Smooth As I said before, 15 was great. Both the south part that starts a few miles west of Iron River and goes up to 111, and the north part that goes from there to 8. We were on that trail about 10 AM saturday morning. The problem with 107 is that it was bumpy and had not been groomed the night before.

I was up north last weekend and rode 15 north on Friday morning(7:30am) and were the first tracks up. Rode it again north on Saturday with another group, still good. Came down 107 to 3 and over to the casino. 107 wasn't too bad, 3 west to Watersmeet was snirt, fairly beat up. Going back east to IR was good once we got east of 107 and 15 (passed two groomers going back). Yes there were some rocks on the trail as mentioned above. Going back up Thursday, looking to ride east like the person posting this.
