Iron River starting point

I'm hoping to get some ideas for our trip in mid-Feb. We're staying just outside Iron River. I'm not familiar with the area and need some ideas for a good full day loop and a couple half-day trips.

Would a trip to Lake of the Clouds & back be doable? Any must visit towns, restaurants, along the way? Any info would be appreciated...

Thanks for pointing that out - I was referring IR MI. Can you offer some suggestions on routes & places to stop or avoid on the way to LOC?

Are there other areas we should consider in addition to or instead of LOC? I'm not familiar with the area and trying to get my bearings.

Grooming problems on 102 loop from LOC due to logging what a shame great loop. You can take 2 grade w 13 n- 1n or 2w -3n-8w grade- 1n. Exchange 107n for 3n your choice. 15n not good low snow would not use that. Either way lots of grade & big wide trails if that is what you like?
White Pine Kontecka good bar/grill & gas and won't have time for much more with RT ...IDK maybe dinner at Mr Ts in IR.
