That falls under printing and so does any type of typing. Point is nobody hardly has to "write" anymore. My daughter said, "what about texting?" Figures...

You gotta hear this, the other day a lady wanted a ball park estimate for some work in her home, we normally get you a "Fancy Pants" type estimate but she wanted to know if she was even in the ball park. So I breakout by carpenters pencil and a chunk of card board and start writing and doing some cypering and her 8 year old son walks up and his eyes got real big as he looked at my cardboard estimate I was working on, He paused then looked at his mom and said, "He does real math".............. "wow!" I thought I was his hero, but then he looked at me like I belonged in the Smithsonian and trotted off.
So, Just saying the kids are not learning the basics anymore and that is sad........ Oh, and I got the job.
what is cursive
What is Cursive....you kidd'n?
Cursive is how you got your mouth washed out when your mom heard you talk'n to your friends around the corner of the garage.
The more you did it (and sounding like DAD) the more trouble you got into. Dad of course went right along with it even though most of the words that got you into trouble you learned from him in the garage when he THOUGHT he was alone.
Remember sunday school? That's where you had to admit you said stuff you shouldn't and where the teacher of sunday school scolded you out in front of the class and made YOU an example of all the others who lied like preachers on sunday and swore they didn't use that language "anymore".
The other type of cursive isn't even taught in school anymore...nor is handwriting class. Remember the special pen designed for writing? That has given way to a tablet computer....where the teacher gets to grade the tests instantly, tabulate the score, and passes the whole testing on to the office in a form that can be integrated into a form so report cards can be run. Home work is instantly graded and tabulated so that before the class bell rings you not only know your grade on the score, but that suzy and recardo beat you again with honors.
Beginning next year, teacher parent conferences will be held by text messaging and all interactions with the Principal will be via video messaging.
And you thought the Federal shut down was your biggest problem!!!!
The old cardboard with the big carpenters pencil. Thats how I remember what parts I have to get. I always print my parts list by the way.
lol,,,actually in 5th grade I won an award for best cursive for the boys.
I have never used cursive my whole life. I learned it in grade school, but never used it beyond what was required then. Now when my son talks about cursive writing, I really need to think about evry word I write. I really don't see the big deal. Is it really needed?
