Wild things happen when that mat isn't down. I do believe it is made of felt.

Studs on felt = BAD

With these warm temps, we need a daily update on the mat... Hopefully it holds up.

Wish we could get a cam pointed at it... This is something that needs to be monitored.

I was up there the weekend before it went down, and never having crossed it before was worried, but it wasn't that big of deal without snow.

I was up there as they were putting the mat down. there is a felt like mat down and then covered with snow. The mat looks kind of like the material landscapers use to keep weeds from growing in the landscaped areas.
