Is this weekend storm going to yield rideable snow UP there?

Planning to get to Rockland Friday afternoon, staying thru Monday night leaving Tuesday morning. Wife just showed me a terrifying post from Lake Gogebic hotel on Facebook, wondering what yall think. I need an escape like no other, but if we stick north will it even be rideable?

We're in Houghton now. Just got in late last night (1am). Some snow falling north of Watersmeet on our way in. Snow and icystuff all night here. As driving looked like there's still snow north of Bruce Crossing. Suppose to get more. I'll post what we find when we go out today.

Keep us updated Sweeper, I'm heading up Sunday morning until Wednesday night. Looks like my group could hit the snow perfect for this trip. We should meet up somewhere depending on how long you will be in the area.

No new snow in Hancock yet. The trails are bumpy but the groomers are out. I passed the groomer in Hancock. Like I said the trails are bumpy and a little snirty but I think there is enough snow to groom. I will take what I can get. I think the storm will be south of the UP.

Rode south, Freda loop was groomed, flat smooth Awesome. 3 between Houghton and Greenland was 95% good to very good. Some choppy spots, groomers been out doing what they can, just need temps now to hold the groom. South Range road crossings were terriible, but would expect that after heat wave. 2 or 3 bare spots and 2 water puddles. But overall nice.
13 from Twin Lakes to Greenland was pretty Whooped up. But lots of snow. Getting close to Greenland started seeing bare spots, mud snirt. But not terrible. 12 from Pat's to 3 was good.
Off trail is set up pretty good and some wet to deal with, and the mashed potatoe snow pulls you in.
Probably head north in the morning.

Good to hear - how about a north of Houghton report? How is it getting through H/H and the bridge?

North of the bridge/ 3 is 80% pretty good. Few areas of snirt. Couple sections a little bummpy. Like south side of Brockway Mountain was quite bumpy. Top of Brockway had spots of no snow for several hundred feet in a few spots. Probably due to always being thin because of wind, and then melted because of last weeks weather. But overall not bad. Snow is sugar on trail, so its going to need fresh snow with moisture to get things real good.
Trail 124 into Gay was Very Good, or a little better. Flat, Smooth, and FAST. Fresh groom, but wont hold well because of sugar sno. 132 was good, but we were only on it for a short stretch. 133 Gay to Lac La Belle was quite bumpy, wouldn't call it poor (because of recent weather) But I couldn't call it good either.
135 into Copper Harbor was in good shape.
Plenty of loose snow on trails for cooling.
OVERALL Good conditions north of bridge.
Getting through Houghton is not bad a little snirt and bare road crossings, of course. Snow on the bridge, went east side of Hancock on 3. Shoulders had rock coming up at road crossings. But no serious bad spots anywhere.
Starting to snow, a little flurries all day. Looks like starting accumulating amounts snow now. Crossing fingers gonna be busy trails tomorrow, would like to off trail. But need fresh snow for that cuz the snow in woods is set up.
