Ishpeming, Baraga, Chassell???

Looking for some where to come up friday the 3, leave sunday the 5th. Never been to that area, any recommendations where to stay? Worth heading to that area? Will have the new to riding gf so pretty much just trail riding. I'm guessing any farther north lodging will be booked up and don't like staying at the big chain hotels. Thanks for any input.

Group we ran into yesterday tried to get to Baraga to make their way over towards Marquette, could barely get to the Rousseau bar coming from mass city. They got snow but were bare before the storm. Try Peppermill lodging in Rockland, good snow there and north and the people are awesome!
