isle royale and the keweenaw

does isle royale limit the lake effect snow in the kew pen when there is a northwest wind was looking at a satillite photo and it seemed like isle royale defanatly would limit the lake effect snow in the keweenaw as its almost a couple mile block.

It does, both in the way of taking up some of the space that would be water and lead to the added heat and moisture, but it also disrupts the wind flow to some degree.

I vote we get rid of it! Tell Canada they can have it, they just need to move it to the far east end of the lake! :)

John,

This may be a stupid question, but does isle receive a lot of snow? Is that where I would have to go to finally get some riding in? Suppose I could skip there if need be!
