still the best Ballad/ song that tells a story of all time!! when you watch the documentary about the fitz the song becomes even more haunting when the sailors' families walk up and ring the actual bell for each life lost.

That sounds about right. The further we get from the date the fewer people recognize it. I saw Lightfoot perform that song some years ago at the PAC. The orchestration was right on but his voice was getting weaker by that time. Just wasn't the same.

I gotta get up there to that museum, another one for my Bucket List!

My first concert ever was Gordon Lightfoot at the Northrup Auditorium in Minnesota when I was 13years old. My 5 year old sons middle name is Edmund in honor of that great song and storyteller.
