March 19 still riding

My daughter and I went out for our last day of riding yesterday and right now as I write this the rain is melting my snow away. This was though one of my best years riding with the early blizzard we had left lots of snow to ride on. Had my first trip out west to Alpine Wyoming which was great rented a 2011 polaris 800 pro rmk but it only lasted 7 hrs then broke down and I was given a 2011 ski doo summit 800 both were great sleds. Rode my first 4 stroke a Yamaha vector which was great. Rented the sled and rode keeweenaw and houghton counties great time. Well today I guess I will prepare my sled for storage and wait and dream of the riding I will do next year.

still some snow left

Seen enough snow in the feild to make it to the woods so I went out again today and here are some photos. John Dee is predicting 6-8 inches in my area and more farther north more riding yet to come.

It's back 10 inches of good stuff

Old man winter stopped the fat lady from singing for at least a couple weeks. YA HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 inches of the good stuff. What a storm. At 10:00 p.m. Tues night it was raining then snowing then sleet then it turned to all snow and did it snow. The roads were somewhat clear at 10 p.m. and by 2 a.m. weds morning there was at least 6 inches in the parking lot at work and anyone without 4 wheel drive was stuck. Only had 4 vechicles that could make it and the others had to hitch a ride. We manage to get everyone home from work. On my way 20 miles north of Chippewa Falls I had a hard time in some areas with a 4 wheel drive. Found 2 others stranded and gave them a ride also did not make it home til 6 a.m. I did not mind though because anytime I can play in the snow is good. Hoping for 1 more week maybe more I keep posting til I cannot ride anymore. Still finding just over 2 feet in the thick trees and were it is shaded.

Did some more riding 3/26 and with the colder temps it was great.
Power turns on a side hill with some good snow on it.

4th Kendra was having fun knocking the snow off the trees onto her head and then I was knocking it off onto her head we play and did that for a 1/2 hour was fun.

1 April 2011 still riding no foolin

Went out to one of my secret riding spots today in Chippewa county Wisconsin. It is April 1st 2011 and I have never rode this late in the season here before. Here are some pictures. mostly stucks and one were I hit a tree and bent a little metal. Got another storm on the way for monday with significant snow possible. Is'nt fishing opener only four weeks away will the lakes even be open. Enjoy pictures.

Its over!!!!!!!!!

The snow is just about gone only some left in the thick woods now and I am no longer able to get to it without going through alot of mud and dirt. So the sled is in the shed now resting til next year. I can only hope next year will be as good as this one. Hope you all have a great summer it has been great seeing all the pictures and post of riding this year.
