Headed up to the cabin for a weeekend of snowmobiling. Got up there Friday night and the 8"+ from Thursday plus the 4-5" more from Friday were adding up in the driveway. The picture of the sleds covered up behind the cabin shows the fresh snow from the previous weekend. The picture of the deck shows how much snow YTD on the deck. the table is 28" high and the snow is up to it along with the snow on top of it.
Rode down to Gooseberry falls on Saturday. The NSST was about the nicest I have ever seen it. Funny thing is on the way down my wife and daughter sort of missed a corner and ended up in the rhubarb. She was in there good, sort of down in a gully of waist deep snow. We spent a good 20-30 minutes working on getting her out and I commented that anywhere in Northern WI or the UP we would have had 20+ sleds have come by and offered to help but up there we didn't have any body come by who could have helped. We actually only saw maybe 10 sleds in 90 miles of riding that day.
So, we got to Gooseberry and it was neat, took some pictures, had lunch at Grand Superior lodge and then headed back home. It was -15 Sunday morning so I couldn't convince anybody to ride with me but I went out and ran up the Baptism river, what a awesome ride, first tracks, deep snow. Sorry but no pics of that. It was another great weekend.
