It was about this time of year, John would start chirping about the upcoming winter we all look forward to. Unbeknownst to John and the rest of us, there were only a couple of Journals to come. October 8th of last year was a Sunday, the day of the week his Journal was usually posted. In John's memory, we're reposting his Journal from one year ago and I must admit, my eyes teared up a little reading John's musing with such a short time remaining.

Thanks for posting this Gary. Reading this journal again, it was so classic John. He was always a little more excited about fall than the other season changes. He was one of the most positive people I’ve ever met and always focused on the good in life. He is missed.
