Thanks!
It really is a wonderful situation. From day 1, he somehow knew exactly what he was there to do. When a teacher lets him come into the room, he will just slowly walk through the entire classroom and will not leave until he has had the chance to say hi to all the kids in that class. He also can sense when a particular student is having a rough time (even when it is not readily apparent to the staff or other students) and will go hang out with them and lift their spirits.
What else is interesting is that at school, he is all business. When I visit, he will come say hi, but then gives me a look as if to say: "nice to see you, but I have to get back to work" and usually goes out into the hallway to keep an eye on things or make his rounds. At home, he is just a regular 80+lb fuzzy puppy that acts all of his 18 month age! Well behaved for the most part, but full of spunk and occasionally sassy!
I have seen this video a few times now and each time a tear will well up in my eyes, knowing all the good he is doing... and all from the good of his heart.
Nora gets ALL the credit for his behavior. She has worked so hard with him and he spent most of his first year being with her and trained by her, so he was able to adopt her sweetness.
