John...I am happy to hear that all went well with your surgery and very proud to see that you were sent to the Mayo Clinic. There are a number of your followers that are employed here and I can honestly say that I am proud to be employed by them. I hope that when you come for follow up that you can let me know as I would be more than happy to provide a place for Grace and Nora as well as take you and your family to dinner! It's the least we can do to thank you for this great site.

I hope all goes well with the continued recovery!

Thanks for sharing, John. I am sure that tapping the network of support out there is far more important than the privacy issues, which frankly are pretty hard to keep anyway, so disclosing it all can be a huge help for you as you only need mention what we can do for you and you know that help is there and ready if and when you need it.

That's what friends are for.

Please know that this board is not just a community of crazy sledders, instigators and maniacs (well hardly any, anyways) , but a family that can be of assistance in many ways. You would have to be crazy not to tap it like a fountain of youth.

Get well my friend, and I can personally confirm from other friends who had the same issues, that YOU will feel better, perhaps even far better than you did before once you get past the issues at hand.

Don't forget to fall back on your family...it is perhaps far bigger than you realize.
