July 4th weekend on the North Shore

We've spent the last 2 weeks up at our cabin near Finland enjoying the North Shore. The kids went to Wolf Ridge ELC for a week and had a good time. The long weekend over the 4th we went fishing (caught nothing), did the tour of the northshore mine facility in Silver Bay, went for a hike up to Bean and Bear Lake (gorgeous), went to Grand Marais for a day, and went jumping in the Temperance River. We aslo went ATV'ing along the moosewalk and NSST. If I'd known how rocky those trails are, I don't think I ever would take my snowmobile down them. Here's some pics of the activities.

The kids and I liked the cliff jumping so much I think we'll head up there again tomorrow or Sunday before we head back home. Then 2 weeks from today we leave for Colorado for vacation so we are looking forward to that.

Where did you do the jumping in the river? I will be camping in the UP with my family and I would love to go do this. GPS # or directions. Thanks

Sorry, we are on the north shore near Finland, MN, not in the UP. But, if you did want to drive over for the day we were on the Temperance river about 1 mile upstream from where Hwy 61 crosses the river.
