Since smoking is banned in bars/resturants in the upper midwest....I have a question...HOW MANY OF YOU ANTISMOKING PEOPLE DRIVE TWO STROKE SNOWMOBILES??? And since I now drive a four stroke do I have the right to BAN you from using the trails..because it STINKS, is bad for my health, and makes my clothes smell??? Just wondering?? :p

BTW For the record I recently quit smoking (going on 4 weeks with out a cig)..so you self rightous non smokers can not treat me like a second class citizen...besides I'll be dammed if I'll step outside my favorite watering hole when it's 20 below zero to have a smoke. With myself and many others quiting because of the ban...I wonder what the loss of revenue to each state is....and what the less of revenue means to the indian tribes that sell discount smokes...hmmmmmm....wonder who has to pay for that lost revenue???

Geeze Bry.

If you had stayed on a two stroke, then you would have had a better chance of actually being in the lead some of the time and not had to smell our smoke all the time! :D

Just a little joke all you 4 strokers. I know they are fast too.

Congrats on not smoking for 4 weeks, keep it up!

As far as the two stroke thing, if I was just a trail rider I would have a 4 stroker for sure.

Imagine if one day you walked into a bar and there was 4-5 two stroke sleds in there running, the blue haze, smoke so thick ya can't see, I know we all love two stroke smoke, well some of us, but it would be too much! Well, that is what I would get to see everytime I walked into a bar filled with smokers. Hated it!

I'm strictly a trail rider, but I'm not ready to give up my 2-stroker. The smell is part of the experience, for me. Heck, I fire it up just to get a good whiff in the off-season. Gets me my fix and evokes lots of good memories! :)

Hey, whatever it takes to get smokers to quit smoking....is fine by me, and my insurance carrier thanks you too.

Ask not what the State will do with the lack of Taxation on smokes (totally wrong way to go in my book...) but ask HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY YOU ARE NOW SAVING EVERY SINGLE DAY.

New sled?

New digs?

2 more trips to snow country?

more beer?

wife gets that furniture she has been bugging you for?

all of the above???

No matter, welcome to the right side of the equation.... you now have elected to stop supporting a company that thrives on deteriorating health, addicting adult wannabees aka young kids, and reduced runs from the fire department.

Your kids, thank you, your relatives thank you for not smoking and having to prematurely head to your wake, and the human race thanks you for gett'n it together enough to give up one of the scourges of society.

We can all do without the funds these things bring in. Sort of like the day a munitions factory has to lay off workers...yes it hurts...but it is ultimately a good hurt and an industry that should ideally never have existed. One day we will ban these things like a bad set of roller blades and we will never ever look back.

Darn proud of a effort well worth the endeavor....Stay the course...win the prize!

Whatever taxes your state loses cause you quit smoking will be made up when you live another 20 years. Don't worry the tax man always get his.

Face it you HAD a disqusting habit.

I never gave it any thought before the ban, just avoided places where I had to breath it. But now that it's done - i do appreciate it, and wonder why anyone put up with it as long as they did.

Quitting was/is the hardest thing I have done, and that was with smoking not even a pack a day.
I never understood how someone had enough idle time to smoke upwards of 2 packs a day.
Extra days are not guaranteed, but you will be able to enjoy the improved health of today.

Good Bryan work you will be better off NOT smoking just ask Captain Phil ........if you could. I bought 4s because I thought it was the better way to go for trail riding no worries running RRBs WOT. So far 6,000+ miles & no engine problems or any sled problems on my Attack. I just got tired of 2s engine burndown after burndown all brands. I didn't buy 4s because of the 2s smell ...never really thought that much about it until I bought a 4s. About 1/4 mile behind a 2s on trail you start to smell them as you close in. Then you think WOW!!! that is stinkey!!! I'm really happy I'm not breathing that 2s exhaust any longer & it has to be better for me. Etek is good 2s tech but the rest of 2s are having problems just ask Polaris about 2s injection mapping opportunities & Cat who knows what they will do. You have to get oil to the engine for lubrication & 4s is a better to way to do that. Other than Etek the rest of injected 2s engines look pretty darn weak but we will have cleaner air.

John...Mine's slow, and I know it......don't care..it's a little 500 phazer...I bought it for fun...I am waaaaaayyyyy to old to care about who's first to the bar or across the lake.
Just want good fuel economy..low maintnance...and reliability. Something you 2 smoke riders can not claim....you already forget about your polaris RMK???
Wasn't that thing in the shop, more than it was on the trail ??? lol

Let me tell you it's very difficult to quit smoking (especially after 22 yrs)..but so far so good....hopefully by this winter I will be in a little better shape and be able to play off trail a bit...without getting so winded.

I was with you until the "one day we will ban these things", ay comrade? I'm assuming you're speaking about the munitions and the cigs. Hopefully we'll ban drugs and alcohol one day too!

On an individual level, it's hard to imagine something dumber than spending money on cigs. A married couple who smokes could quit smoking and fund a comfortable retirement with the funds. How's that for perspective on how much the cost really is, just in terms of dollars (not to mention the health benefits). But man does it put a chill in me when we start talking about banning things.

I've never thought of 2 stroke smoke as something that stinks. In fact I think that it a scent that would be good for a womans perfume. Just think of all the women looking for a man, with a perfume like that they could be the most popular girl around. Maybe would be a good air freshener for our vehicles, too. I sure would buy a 2 stroke scented pine tree. Just my feable attempt at humor, sorry.
