Just a reminder of what can happen.

I know there is a lot of frustration out there right now, but keep in mind, there really is still quite a bit of winter to go through. For folks that can only get out to ride between Christmas and New Years for one reason or another, my heart goes out to you. You have been skunked for many years.

For the rest of us, keep in mind, trails were in worse shape up this way last year at this time. Here is a shot I took New Years Eve 2010:

Backcountry did not look much better.

This is 9 days later!

I does not happen to that extreme every year, but does change in a hurry up here. Just looking at the latest guidance, this coming Sunday and Monday could be doozies around here! Keep checking in!

Thanks John!! I was just discussing your site and snow at coffee this morning with fellow Cheesehead friends. We have trips in the planning to ride the Keewenaw this next few weekends. Cannot wait.

I know what you are saying...problem is December 2010 we logged 800 miles before the New Years thaw...December 2011...0 miles.

I agree all but the last 3.5 days of December is gone, but I also like to look at it as spilled milk. Life's just too short to look at it in any other way IMO.
