Think theres more of that going on than we want 2 think about. All I know is we'll keep paying 4 it.

From what I remember working at Wal-Mart in Houghton the card would only pay for certain things and then you had to pay for the rest. Or it could've been WIC. I don't remember anymore exactly, but I will never forget the look on their faces when they buy all this junkfood, beer and cigarettes, pull out the Bridge card and then owe 70 bucks. Hilarity ensues.

I know that WIC is very specific to what you can purchase, at least that is the way it was when I worked in a grocery store a few years back.

6 months from now he'll be back at it. Lowlife, go get a job and work for your steak n lobsters like the rest of us honest Americans.

it's still a load of crap....he's legally allowed to go dine on the tax payers dime at a lobster house?....I work my butt off and I don't even go to a lobster house....there is seriously something wrong with how the system is set up for these low life's to be able to take advantage of it like they do...

… he's legally allowed to go dine on the tax payers dime at a lobster house? …

Who said that?

Did I miss something? I thought he bought the lobsters at a grocery store (at Angeli's Country Market, in fact, according to the receipt shown in the article.).

Can the Michigan Bridge Card be used in any restaurant? I seriously doubt it!

Lowlife

Basically the rule for using the MI Bridge is you cannot purchase any prepared warm/hot food. And ONLY food (anything that can be eaten ) is allowed.

A good example is chicken. A whole one, or pieces thats cooked and cold, yes. If its purchased warm, no. And NO restaurants.

The jerk who purchased the 1/2 price steak and lobsters from the food stamp bum should also be prosecuted.

I would like to slap both of these scumbags.
