Is there any business or individuals in the Keeweenaw area that does emergency sled towing? We're coming up in three weeks and every year our group is getting bigger and bigger. It started out 10 years ago with just my husband and I and this year our group is looking to be upwards of 20 people! As you all know the more sleds, the more breakdowns. I'd like to have a backup plan if someone isn't fixable on the trail. In the past we've towed the breakdowns back and the group usually followed but I don't want to ruin that many peoples trip. Even if the rest of the group goes on someone will get stuck towing and I'd like to avoid that if possible. We are staying in the Houghton/South Range area. Thanks guys for any info.

Big T towing service will retrieve snowmobiles. I just checked with them to make sure they're still in active business. Big T Towing is located in Hancock and their phone #906-370-1194. They offer 24 hr. towing and recovery.
Superior Service in Hancock/Calumet also has an ATV with Tracks and offers on and off trail recovery, there also 24/7. If you can get the broke sled to any dealer or any other place of business for that matter it's usually never very hard to hire someone to haul a sled for a reasonable amount.

Thanks Chad-that one got past me and we've even called them for snowmobile recovery for snowmobilers over the years. Good to refresh my memory and a piece of knowledge for all to read on this website that such a service is available in our area. (Chad-have a good winter..)/Sandy
