Keweenaw Lodging?

I'm looking for a place to stay this saturday night, north of the bridge. Every time I come up by you guys I always feel rushed, because of driving up and back every time from LG. Were going to leave early from Bergland and take our time and explore on saturday, and ride back sunday night to LG. What would you guys recommend as far a place to stay. The most important thing to us is a safe place to park the sleds overnight. thanks

I would go all the way to Copper Harbor and stay at the Mariner North. It's only 150 miles from LG and a great place to stay with great views up there. I have a group staying on LG starting the 16th and we are heading up and staying Sunday night at the Mariner North in 2 of their nice cabins. They also have massage service available there.

Another option would be looking in John's Northwood's Directory over to the left and stay with someone that supports this great site!

Not sure how far north of bridge you are looking to go, but Whitehouse Motel in Mohawk is a nice clean place with very reasonable rates and convenient cafe right next door and restaurant/bar across street. Just a little north of Calumet, convenient to the restaurants there as well. Check out Michigan House. Great food and great microbrew selection. If you go save room for the apple dumbling dessert. If you go to Copper Harbor check out the Pines. Little south of there is Lac La Belle Lodge. They have cabins for rent.

We've stayed at the northgate motel in Calumet. It's on the trail. It's been a few years though.

The last time I stayed at the Northgate was about 3 years ago. When we got there at 2am the heat was set at 40 in each room and we had to duct tape the doors shut so the wind and snow would not blow in.

The White House Motel in Mohawk is always good along with Centennial Cottages just north of Calumet.
