The dates for this years trail work session have been set at September 19-20. This year we will be working on repairing/rebuilding bridges. So you can leave the loppers and chainsaws at home and bring your hammers.

I will be adding info such as places where workers can stay for free, but just wanted to get the word out so folks could make plans.

Is this the same week end that the Superior Snowmobile club (Greenland) will be brushing the trails?

I'm not sure. I know Sandy posted in another thread that she thought it might be the same weekend, but was not sure. I tried to avoid being the same weekend as theirs. I had thought that they were typically the weekend after Haydays, so when I was planning the KTS work days about a month ago, I zeroed in on that weekend.

I guess the bottom line is you will need to get in touch with someone from the SSC to see when theirs is planned for.

Hope you have some more info soon on this John. Too bad Superior ended up on the same weekend but if I remember correctly don't most clubs have the dinner or "event" of the weekend on Saturday? It would be fun to get a joint event happening someplace on Friday since there could be several people up working in both locations for the weekend. I know I'll be up and would love to be at both, probably not possible but still looking at what everyone is planning. Maybe it could be a Friday for one place and Saturday at the other, half the time but double the crew... who knows what could get done.

There will be some free lodging available at the Trailside Lodge in Calumet again and I am going to see if I can get at least one other spot for the workers to stay.

Only one more "work week" for me till I head up! I think I'm just as excited as I am before I head up for a trip in the middle of the season! Will see Chris and Sue at Trailside on Thursday night and the rest of you on Friday! Who else is coming?

You could bring a chain saw if you want. I plan to have a portable generator in the truck to run power tools if we need to as well.

See yous guys in a little over a week.

Getting ready to head UP! Hope to have enough time to stop on the way and shoot the bull for a bit with Kip, the Mosquito, and Chad at MM when I pass by. What time we planning to start out on Friday?
