Buddy has a 99 zrt 600 , put a new kill switch on , and still won’t shut off, un plug connector under hood and shuts off, . What would cause this? He said check ground and all is good. Goanna look up wire diagram for it now. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

un plug connector under hood and shuts off, .

??? The kill and key switch "shorts" the ignition (spark) to ground (you may knew that) so I say a bad ground or not wired to the ground or spark. Test the kill switch, just cause it is new doesn't mean it's good.
Does it shut off with the key switch?

no, found that out last night, maybe the cdi box, told him to take the purple wire off the cdi and ground it to block, to see if it kills the motor. also to check the ground down by the stator.

Cat runs a reverse kill circuit which means when it's closed it runs but when it opens it dies. That's why it shut off when he unplugged it. It's very easy to test a kill switch with a multimeter.
