I thought I heard somewhere that early cold spell was caused by a typhoon taking a northern track near alaska, pushing the cold down to us.

If that has passed, maybe the weather has stabilized back to its original pattern?

I'm just comparin snow totals. Its not all about Western UP amounts which may surprise some.

I had really high hopes about 4 weeks ago, but it's not looking good in the near future either. There hasn't been any snowfall amounts listed in that section since 11/24/14! I've never seen such little color on John's forecast graphic either! Come on jet stream, move!!!

Not looking good for a while.

Any plans before the 21st should be canceled.

I'm looking at Ontario, Wawa on north.... Even that might not be good on Jan 1st.

Not looking like a good first 1/3rd of the season.
