Somebody had posted recently about poor customer service from Klim. I had recently contacted them about a broken zipper on a pair of 7-8 yr old pants. They said I could send them in to be repaired but there would be a charge. I was fine with that as they were pretty old and repair is cheaper than replace. Today they called and said they tested them and they were no longer waterproof in the seat area and so they were replacing them under warranty for me. I thought that was great customer service!

Don't let the Klim bashers hear that. Klim is a very good product.

I've had 2 warranty issues with Klim - gloves and midlayer pants. The gloves were replaced, and the midlayer pants were fixed - both free of charge, no issues whatsoever. Neither was a high dollar product, and both were highly used before they broke down, so it wasn't a bad product issue either.

Geez I just looked at all my 3 year old Klim gear and all the damn zippers were broke. lol

get them fixed and buy the next size up. Never an issue with zippers but had some stiching come loose, glad I carry a sewing kit in with my garden tools.
I also had a positive experience with Klim customer service this past winter. I had a pair of freeride pants that I bought back in 2006 or 2007. When riding mid season this past winter the seam on the inside of one of the knees blew out. Sent them to klim for warranty and they sent me a brand new pair, no questions asked. Most of my riding gear is klim and I haven't had any other problems so far but I am glad that they do make a good product and are willing to stand behind it.
