You guys crack me up--Richard loves winter & snow. As he was going out this morning I asked him if he's having as much fun as he has at the beginning of a season. Yep, I think the Laurium Glacier slid to Twin Lakes. LOL
Not too many hours on tractor-just used for sidewalks-he has another toy, an end loader with snowbox-besides all the cabin area, also 2 acres for vehicles with trailers to park.
Richard does not like to mow and I remind him that with snow, plowing sometimes more than once a day and with mowing, at the most just once a week.-Doesn't change his mind.
Sandy, that is because when he has to mow, he has to pick things up, move chairs, picnic tables, toys, fishing poles, floating devices etc etc. Getting on and off the lawn mower that many times is a pain in the arse! LOL.
Ah yes! I also love snow and don't like to mow! I just live in the wrong place for now, but that just may change. Sandy, have you ever seen this much this late before? You don't know how much I've wanted to be up there with you folks this past month.
We've lived here for 19 years and only the last 2 years did we lose it in March-quite abruptly. Previous to the last 2 we always told people that March was the best riding month of the entire winter season. In April it would get iffy-would have the die-hards come up for that one last ride and probably would have to trailer to some back road to ride from. One year Richard rode for a very little way in May just to say he "rode in May."
Those that have lived in the UP all of their lives say its nothing like it used to be-some people remember sliding out their upstairs bedroom windows. Every year is different-only Mother Nature knows....
