Kwik-Klamp Experiences

I was considering getting a pair of Kwik-Klamps for clamping my sled skis down. Can anybody give me their experiences? My initial concern is if there is enough downward force to keep the sleds in one place. I'd like to know the good, bad & ugly of these before I invest in a pair. Here's a link to their site: http://www.depotstar.com/KwikKlamp.htm

I had a pair on my Triton trailer....and I'd still have them, except my Floe trailer has the Versa Trak and so it doesn't need them. I liked them, never had any problems with sleds shifting and is a whole lot nicer than having to use threaded cranks.

russholio,

Versa trak or not, Kwik Klamps can be used on this style of trailer. It is a matter of a 1/4 or 1/2 turn versus 4 or 5 turns.

I have a the competitor to Kwik Klamp (Superclamp), and I like it. I don't have any sled shifting.

I used the KK's on my old 2-place for several years with no problems. Never had any problems with sleds moving around, either -

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. Sounds like something I can add to make getting the sleds loaded and strapped down a quicker job.

I've been using the KK's for quite some time on the Sledbed. The handle actually broke on mine in the UP after I blewup up my engine, just a really bad day overall. Anyway, they replaced it fast with no hassles. They said I was the first person to ever report one (handle) breaking. They have been fine for quite a few years ever since.
