And tom at the BBB is going to have to add on!! I have never seen so many sleds in that small of an area as there are on the web cams right now.... I will wait a week and then come up. No wonder why I don't ride on weekends.... Crazy!!

Sub zero temps and whiteout conditions at least slows down the traffic. Road through there this morning us seeing sleds but no problems if you ask me, I only get to ride weekends do I deal with it but traffic is not that bad if you ask me. Cold is slowing down everything.

One question I ask all the time, why the heck does everyone feel they haveto ride around the bigger towns? Ive been U.P. 6 times this winter and have not rode within 25 miles of Bergland. Other years its a common area to ride but with all the traffic, we have gone elsewhere and have found immaculate trails all winter so far.

Bergland is a bigger town to you? Wow. I, and I'm sure many others don't feel the need to go there, or Watersmeet, or Bruces Crossing, or (insert big UP town here). Some people need to stop (the ladies?) and some people just want to stop there (me at the Bergland Bay Bar for beef!)

Also, the bigger towns are the one that have lodging to rent. Put up a motel on trail 13 between Bergland and Rockland and see how you do.

Groomerdriver, considering all the establishments all the way around the lake its one of the most populated areas that people seem to flock to and then they complain about rough trails and traffic. What I say to them is to venture away and they will find better trails.I talk to alot of people and they say trails were junk , ask them where they were and 80% of the time they were around Bergland, Twin Lakes, Houghton , just saying get away from these towns and you will be happier. You can still patronize these business`s and towns and use their lodging but do not have to ride around there all day.

I groomed for eight hours yesterday and seen about 40 sleds on trail and a couple hundred sitting in establishments along the way, perfect trail conditions, just cold......

Lake Gogebic is a snowmobiling hotspot and then you get great establishment owners like bergland bay bar who bend over back words for sledders and its a no brainer why people flock there.

I love basing out of Lake Gogebic, you have lots of options for routes and dinner! Plus, their trails are normally some of the most well groomed in the area, especially considering their traffic.

Thanks again for grooming, especially the double wide side stuff (White pine to Silver City area). I was telling my son that this weekend was the best I have seen this trails in 25 years of coming up. I did see you out there grooming and yelled thanks Randy. I owe you a couple more beers.
