How are trail conditions in this area? I haven't seen anything posted for this area all season. Heading up there Feb 21-26. Thanks!

Tuesday I rode all the way around LG starting on trail 13 from 2 all the way around east side some logging but not a problem this was all before big snow on Thursday, overall pretty good. Trail 8 to BBB choppy but plenty of snow. Went north to take trail from east to west along pipeline right out of town brown and snirty then section of pipeline better but well used, took that to trail 1 west shore some logging on north end but not a problem at all after logging area it was fantastic all the way to Gogebic lodge. Trail in to lodge has some rocks but very flat. Trail 1 down to Marensico was fantastic also, and this was all before big snow but on a Tuesday. Hope this helps.

Thanks goofy600. I know I have 2 weeks to go yet so lots will change. I'd like to hear from people after this new snow also. Can't wait to get up there! We normally go first week of January but a guy had a conflict so back in October we changed our trip. Glad we did based on low snow in early January and no restaurants/bars open!

We just returned from there having done 600 miles in 5 days and left the day after the 12" dump. We start early so some trail conditions deteriorate later in the day but what we rode was great. 13 to Rockland very good but some rocks underneath. 3 to Twin Lakes was great as usual. Bill Nichols loop was bad the day we rode it but we did meet the groomer 2/3 of the way thru. 101 to 12 to 1 near White Pine was good so we rode it both ways. 1 was great except near town where it was brown sugar. I agree with the post above about the rerouted 1 south. 102 was good one day, mediocre the next and great the third time we did it. 13 south on the east side was good as was 100. The trip to Marenisco was about the best I've seen it in 15 years. The lake was smooth before the snow with no heaves but that changes day to day. Suffice it to say there is great riding there. Ride safe!
