Lake Gogebic frozen status/Ice depth

Anyone have any data/info on the freeze status on the lake?

Would appreciate anyone adding what they know here for anyone interested!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. but, you won't get much response when it comes to early season ice.

Lake Gogebic

As of last week according to a Local Resort owner on the Shallow North end/still many open water areas with SOME ice depth of 5" in the shallows. I suggest contacting a local business on the lake the day before you arrive. They will give you a good idea. Generally it is NOT safe to ride on before NEW YEARS.

Thanks, we'll be there Dec 27/28 so hoping she freezes over pretty good. Makes getting from one end to the other much quicker!
