We took a ride to the breakwaters at McLain state park and the big lake was rolling. Here are a couple of shots of it.

The first three are, so you can imagine how nasty it really was out there. The last one is on the northeast side (people surfing) of the wall so it is sort of blocked, but there were still some nasty rollers.

Those waves were so powerful that I'd have to be 20 again to do the not so smart swimming.

We were in the same place in June and it was very calm. Amazing the differnce in your pictures to what we saw. Very cool area though, we hope to camp there next summer.

Lakes can be pretty amazing when the weather kicks it up a notch.

Last fall, at the Duluth Harbor was pretty good show too.

I used to live for those days up at camp during the summer with the rollers coming in. Where im at it has to be just the right wind but boy that used to be fun. I used to wait till a couple hours before sunset when the wind would die off a little and take out the jetski... that was awesome, sunk one, had one end up on shore on its top but then again it was fun....

Stack,
I almost went scuba diving and got pushed off of the pier. I made a quick retreat and then took some pics. I would love to skip YOUR M8 there any day.
