I my self have not riden that area I seldomly go anywhere besides da u.p but my uncle does he has family that way from his wife's side and he said the same that will hurt bad on the local economy. If only people would think of how bad that will hurt the locales I see hands on just how hard it is in trout lake with bad seasons for sledding I would hate to even imagine how bad it would be if the trail from the bridge to trout lake or from trout lake to newberry closed or they closed the trails in the park it would darn near probably close up town and everything in it from what my aunt says were already bout to loose the local post office. That'll hurt if it does I love that town spent every winter and a lot of summer n fall weeks up there growing up and wanna do the same with my kids just scarred by time there my age there wont be a trout lake the history alone goes way back but it only gets harder and harder to make a living up in that area unless you drive to the big towns. I've contemplated for a long time closing up down here and going up but can one person help idk my uncle is on town committee they think it possibly could but would a diesel shop do good up there or an all around shop auto diesel and heavy truck.

St. Louis county is a large area and the closings will have a large effect on snowmobile traffic for the whole northern section of MN. This would close off a lot of good loops.

On another note i am headed up to cabin in Northern Itasca county and would love to see a fresh blanket of snow when we wake up in the morning.
