Last ride (maybe)

Took a quick trip up to the cabin yesterday to sneak in one final ride. Got about 60 miles in. Beautiful weather, about 55 and sunny. This is the latest I’ve ever really gotten out for a real ride. First weekend in December til the last weekend in April. 4B0B7FB1-39B7-4CC3-9EAC-85A2F454E791.jpg B53DC54A-6542-43AD-8830-CFD43A2D2737.jpg 181B61D8-3ED6-48E4-95C4-3C2D11F0A141.jpg

Not really. We just ran a bunch of forest roads. Get to close to Lake Superior and the snow goes away, get to far away from the lake and the snow goes away.

What's the case/pack you have on the back of the Polaris?

that’s my redneck tunnel bag. I got tired of everything being wet With my old bags and didn’t want to pay huge bucks for something new. So that’s a hard plastic Apache case from Harbor Freight. It’s lockable, waterproof, and basically works as a great spot to put a can of Surly Furious when your taking a break. I’m happy with it, just wish I could’ve gone the next size bigger but didn’t have enough space.

I wish I lived closer to the North Shore Troy, nice to see someone taking advantage of the snow that's still up there!

Looks good to me - how did you tie it down? Agree the prices on the bags (and gas cans) are ridiculous.

So on a Polaris there's 2 slots in your tunnel you can place carriage bolt heads in and then have the bolt section standing up. Thats how they mount all their bags on the pro models. So I just bought 4 of the correct size bolts, drilled holes into the bottom of the bag, lined them up and mounted the bag. Used flex lock nuts on the inside and then cut the bolts down so they didn't stick up above the nuts. Then siliconed the heck out of the hole and bolt. Nothing in there has gotten wet yet from snow. But if a can of pop or possibly an adult beverage leaks on the inside, it also doesn't drain!
