You were talking in your journal about the foliage up here.

I grew up in Maine...from Augusta to Bangor to Fort Kent and Caribou.
I've been throughout Quebec and Vermont and NH.

This area is comparable...or even better...than the best of those areas. The road going into Copper Harbor is the best Fall Foliage route I have ever seen in any of those locations I listed.

Prolly just past peak in Phelps ...but beautiful still...should be a big dump of leaves this week....popples just starting to turn yellow and they are last of the soft woods to turn and fall. Tamaracks starting too then done and will be looking for ice and snow and waiting for John's seasonal forecast with no idea what to expect this winter since such a warm Fall?????
