LED TV & Cold weather

Just bought a new flat screen LED TV for our hunting camp this fall. We close up the camp(no heat) when we're not using it which means that the temps can get down to ten or twenty below in the camp. I know the colder, prolonged temps on LCD and Plasma TV's are not good for the equipment. Does anyone know the effects of this type of cold on LED TV's? For the LED TV we have here at home, the manual indicates a temp range of down to a minus 4. Wondering if I'm going to have problems the next time I use the TV at the camp. Anybody with any experience with this type of situation?

I don't think you will have problems buy you should make sure the place is warmed up for an hour or two before using it.

LED TV is no different than an LCD TV, except for the backlighting. LCD = LCD display with fluorescent backlighting, LED = LCD display with LED backlighting.

don't worry my lcd has seen temps anywhere from -15 to over 100+ F for at least 4 yrs. in my motorhome. like everyone has said just let warm up for a couple hours before you turn it on.

I don't think you'll have a problem as long as you warm up the place B4 powering up the TV.. The geek where I got mine from said it should be room temp for 2 hours B4 powering it up...

I just bought a Samsung LCD and was told to get it to room temp for a 2hrs prior to turning it on. You shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks all....I was a bit worried about this. I knew it needed to warm up, but wasn't sure about how extremely "cold storage" might affect the set.
