I'm heading to Leech Lake this weekend to ice fish it for the first time on this lake. The weather definitely doesn't seem to want to cooperate for good fishing, so I'm going to be hard pressed to find some fish. Does anybody have any pointers on where to go or what to use out there during tough ice fishing days? Like lots of Minnesotans, I prefer to fish for Walleye, but if they just won't bite I can't turn down a good spot for panfish.
I want to stay out of the busy Walker Bay. I am staying at a resort in Horseshoe Bay and would prefer to be able to just drive straight out to the main lake.
