134. Northern Keweenaw. Wednesday morning. Early. Me planted on my 850 Indy rocket ship. That freeking trail is probably the most fun I have had with clothes on in a long time. Fresh double groom. Those wide rolling sweeping corners. My LORD!! Nothing like flying through them corners hanging off the side of the sled, leaning at 60-70 plus mph then grabbing some more as you come out of the corner. Those little hills where you can get some throttle induced air under the machine. Just unreal. That AXYS sled with that much power is just alot of fun!! We had to run it coming back down and it was even more fun. I tell you boys and girls that to me is what it is all about. Or in the words of PD PERFECTION!! IMG_20190107_113019663.jpg

IMG_20190107_113015023.jpg So next time you are thinking about going up over Brockway staying on trail 3, go straight instead of left. You won't be disappointed!!

It is a fun trail.
Honestly though, can't complain about trail 3, 135, 132, or 133 for fun. Tried a whole variety during the week.
It is interesting how some trails in the same area have such a different feel with the layout through terrain. Logging really changes things too.

VERY NICE! that year it was consistently below zero the trails were like riding fresh laid asphalt, looked a lot like your pic. Hopefully they are like that come mid feb! Happy Trails!

be careful throttle jockey! a family could be just around the corner!

That family should also teach those kids not to cut corners there is a throttle jockey coming around:) This is a power sport hobby with high HP machines after all.
We all have a role to keep it safe for ourselves and others and the family at slower pace can take take left handers a lot wider and right handers tighter.

It is still a PUBLIC trail, NOT a racetrack.

Yup.
Coming into a corner, we all have to expect a rider taking the inside towards us and slow down; especially during the day (cant see headlights coming).

That trail was like almost 25 feet wide. Plenty of room to stay on my side. Ya I am gonna stretch the legs of the 850 on something like that. Throttle jockey....

i'll try and get one of my skis on the berm on inside and take it really wide on outside corners....you can tell almost no one does as there are hardly any tracks out there. It seems the groomer could also get corners setup a little better for 2-way traffic?? Been riding 26 years and want to continue so i'm defensive in my riding and take risk where the odds are in my favor:). Part of fun for me is pushing the limits of the machine and my morality.

Honestly, in most cases, you can probably get around a corner quicker if you go out there, and can trust your outside ski/carbide to do its job.

I have a section of similar trail near me that I look forward to riding every year.
When its groomed and setup it has fast sweeping corners separated by just enough straight to wind the sled up, but corners tight enough you need to let up on the throttle or maybe some light braking. I can ride to the limit of traction of the sled but still never go over 60, yet the trail is wide enough and visible enough around each corner that meeting oncoming unexpected traffic is not a concern.

Its probably the closest I will ever get to experience something like this..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8G0C4W0mBs (especially 20-40 seconds into the video)
