Can anyone give some recommendations on places to stay in/around Marquette, Michigan that have good trail access?

Country Village In Ishpeming would be my suggestion, stayed there several times. Holiday Inn in Marquette is an option, but we always prefered Country Village, which has a couple different options for lodging. Groomer has a barn right on site.

I stay in Ishpeming a lot good trails in every direction and right on the trail.

X2 on Ishpeming. Stayed at the Magnuson Country Inn last February and the trail access leaves right from the parking lot. Ample space to park as well. After a day on the trails you can stop by the Jasper Ridge Brewery which is a block or so away.

Hello Wi Harley,
Sad to say that Marquette is not snowmobile friendly, they don't really want us there. I agree that Munising will be better or go westish to Baraga or Houghton, those are real snowmobile towns. In addition, Marquette is full of stop signs, yuk; one beer and don't stop and see red lights.

i think holiday inn marquette is top notch, park in carport, hot beverages and fireplace 12' from the sled. gigantic pool, good enough restaurant/bar, sometimes with dinner show.
trail comes straight to back door with no road riding needed. if someone needed to hit the town after parking sled for the night call a cab for a three block ride downtown, or walk.

cops don't wait for people who don't blow stop signs. i never have had a bad experienced in town.

yes you can get a $36 room with free drink at baraga casino and its known as having the best burger in town.
