Lodging in Hancock/Houghton with plenty of trailer parking space?

Looking for lodging in Hancock/Houghton with plenty of parking space for trailers. Will have a four place side by side and a two place clamshell, both towed by large SUV's. Want to be able to get in/out during our stay in case we want to trailer somewhere.

Ramada looks to be booked on our dates. My recollection is the Copper Crown has limited parking for large vehicles/trailers. Haven't stayed anywhere else before.

Suggestions?

Copper Crown does have a reasonable lot across the street. Another option to consider might be to check out the Wildlife Refuge Cabins, or, the AmericInn in Calumet. If your looking for something simpler, check the North Gate also in Calumet also Centennial Cottages.-Mezz

i think the super 8 works well but the trail thru town is not good. but the bumps keep things slow. pool, hot tub, continental breakfast but you can ride south for breakfast. couple good spots about 30 minutes south.

Ooops, I forgot about the Super 8. They do have a huge parking lot, but, like michaeladams stated, the ride out of there is not the greatest. The others I mentioned are either right on the trail or just a hop, skip & a jump away.-Mezz

Magnuson Copper Crown, formerly the Best Western, has ample parking across the street and also a heated snowmobile garage. Ph. 800-925-7144

Travelodge and Downtowner both have covered trailer parking under the lift bridge. It's great when everybody elses trailers are being shoveled before loading up. I'm pretty sure they are the most "reasonably" priced motels in town.
