Lodging in the Wausau WI area

Can anyone recommend a couple places to stay around Wausau? Heading to Hurley on the bike in a few weeks and Wausau looks like a reasonable stop for the first night. We'd probably be going up thru Abbotsford, so anywhere in that general 25 mile radius/area would be fine. I'd prefer to support a nice Mom-n-Pop place if possible

I stayed at the Hampton Inn right off the highway. I know it is not a mom and pop place but its clean

There are places right off the highway as said in Wausau, also a couple places in Abby as you turn on !3 north off of 29 towards Hurley, also another 25 miles and your in Medford and a few more places to stay.
