Im wanting to hook up my GPS and wanted to know if anyone knows if there is an accessory connector under the hood that I can tap into? Or should I just start poking around looking for any plug that has power? The sled is a 2011 Polaris 600 CFI. Thanks!

My 06' Switchback IQ had a plug somewhere around the foot well. Its a 2 prong male/female connector like the one in the pic. Pay attention only to the 2 prong side, It's all I could find for a pic.

GPS, Cell Phone, Etc.....will only work on DC power. Most of what you'll find under the hood is AC power.

It's best to go direct to the battery for DC (if you have a battery) if not you'll need an inverter.

Above the clutch guard right above your left footwell

there's a 16 prong plug there

RED WIRE with WHITE stripe, plug into it using a common male spade connector cut down (narrowed using side cutters)

Why would you want to have your GPS power switched? If you run a line from the battery, the battery works as a filter and evens out any pulse of the current plus it will stay running when you shut down the sled. It is more work to run the line but you can fuse it and then the GPS will stay on when you turn the sled off.

I don't think the OP's sled has a battery

Thanks guys, Im going to take a look at it tonight. I am hooking up a converter which goes from the 12v down to the USB power, which Im not sure exactly what that power rating is. I got it from Garmin for my GPS, I guess a lot of motorcycle guys use this set up to power there GPS.
