looking for calendar app that will synch android and iphone

We are a mixed platform household, with me using Android and the rest of the family with iPhones and I pads, which I refuse to use.

I have tried to get Google calendar to synch with the i stuff, won't happen.

Have any of you found a calendar/scheduling app that works across both platforms?

We use the google calendar and it syncs great with the iphone. Up front is a bit more work. You have to go to google and follow the directions. You have to go to m.google.com or something like that on the device and log in. Took me a few times, but it does work. I can use Google calendar on my windows desktop and it syncs on my phone.
