Looking for new riding buds in the Chetek - Cameron - Rice Lake area

(for riding in the Chetek - Cameron - Rice Lake areas!)

I'm 54 going on 24 when it comes to snowmobiling. When there's snow on the ground I want to ride. When? = now! Where? = I don't care! I live right on the trail so keep your sled at my place if you need to! If I had somebody that wants to go like I do, I'd have 400 miles on already riding the Wild Rivers and Tuscobia.

200 mile days are not uncommon. Some people call me the "Energizer Bunny" as I like to go and go and not stop. But I am adaptable and flexible! I don't ride fast but I don't putt-putt either.

So, let's get together and have a beer and talk about what adventure needs to be conquered! LOL!

I have relation in osceola and planning on making it up there this year, a little ways away but not to bad. really enjoy that area.

gd, we will be in mass city jan 9th thru 16th..reservation already made..my buddy is flying up from florida..600rmk is seeing if he can make it..our other buddy might come from rhinelaander, im 51 so u are certainly welcome if u want to ride with some guys..on trial and maybe forest roads, but no off cuz we dont know where to go and one switch 800, one short track 800..let me know..stayin at the adventure and she has rooms

Kinda same situation, Wife quit,well let's be honest.she's leavin my a--. She was my best riding partner. Now I'm looking for other adventure. I'm 50 and ride the new 800 axy switchback. I do have other die hard friends to ride with but hey,doesn't hurt for more.I have a cabin in price county on the trail .so whatever works. Pm me!

Dan - I remember you and your posts about looking for couples to ride with. Don't know what to say other than I'm happy OR sad for you, depending on the situation! Shoot me a PM if you're planning a trip in your area. It's a short drive for me.

I live in Southern MN Now - but have Family in Chetek... Also like to ride the UP alot.
Have a 2013 Switchback 800, just upgraded from the 1.25 Ripsaw to a 1.75 backcountry... and no snow to ride!!!

I am 32 going on 12....

If any one has riding room - i may be interested in joining for a trip to the UP or Northern WI in in January.

Looking for riding partner this Sunday 1/18. Can start in Rice Lake on the Wild Rivers and head north. Trailer to Hayward....whatever trips your trigger!

what are the temps looking like for sunday. How are you going to be riding. Trails easy? My daughter needs some seat time since she is now able to ride whenever on the 98 Indy we have, I have a new sled now. She has only ridden a half dozen times or so. We could trailer up there and ride if a novice rider wouldn't cramp your style and the temps are favorable. under 30 as we are looking at mid to high 30's here. I can't come up alone as I already told her I would take her out if weather co-operated. She needs seat time we have a trip planned to Sault Ste. Marie for the I-500 Feb. 3-9. Here are some of my recent rides.

Forecast for the Rice Lake area on Sunday is cloudy and 32. 31 and cloudy NE of here. I'm 55 and no ditchbanger anymore. Fasti'ish, slow....doesn't really matter as long as it's not a 20 mph putt putt on a RR grade. I'm doing a loop on Saturday with some friends heading north and east and could essentially do the same loop Sunday as it's easy RR grade riding and nice woodsy trail riding.

EDIT: just watched the video. She moves along just fine! Dad must have been a good teacher! Was that in MSP area?

Groomerdriver..you riding around my neck of the woods tomorrow? If so look for two XP race sleds(11 and 13)and mine a rev race sled with 440 race numbers.

Sounds like just the kind of riding we're looking for. Yea that was metro area riding, trails through Lake Elmo park preserve, no good snow cover, so frozen ground was pretty rough. Told her to keep it slow and steady.
I'm not much into the ditch banging anymore either, must come with age (51), I do like to play in the powder when possible, of course it seems to be harder and harder to find areas that you can ride off trail legally. My sled really isn't a powder sled 2012 IQ with 121 track, but its still fun.
